WHAT IS LUTHERAN CONFIRMATION?

The most important purpose of Confirmation is to help students answer two questions: 

What do you believe? 

Why do you believe it?

My confirmation books and resources are born out of two convictions: 

1. ALL people, especially teenagers, are searching for the truth. They want to know what's real and what life is all about. Today's popular psychology tells them to find it within themselves, but the more they look inward, the more lost they feel. They need to discover that the ultimate truth comes only from one place: the Triune God and His Word.  

2. Most leaders, pastors, and others are not taught how to teach middle schoolers. Most of them are handed a Small Catechism, which is not a curriculum, and are expected to know what to do. 

This information is intended to address both of these issues; to encourage students to think about God's Word and to equip teachers on how to do that for middle school kids.
